Services for Albert Watson Tate will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2019 11:00 AM graveside in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Carroll County.

Mr. Tate, age 90, died on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Country Meadow Personal Care Home.

He was born on November 25, 1929 to the late Robert and Ollie Mae Merriweather Tate, Sr. He was a retired insurance agent and cattle farmer. Mr. Tate was a member of Mt Olive Baptist Church and loved to hunt and fish especially with his nephews and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Nell Sanders Tate; brother, Robert Lee Tate, Jr; and sisters, Elizabeth Tate Perry, and Irene Tate Baugus.

He is survived by his two sons, Al Tate of Brandon, MS, and Bob Tate of Ridgeland, MS; granddaughter, Whitney Tate of Tupelo, MS; sister, Margie Tate Galey of Sidon, MS; brother, Billy Tate of Sidon, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. Fletcher Moorman will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Matthew Galey, Michael Galey, Colby Galey, Brad Galey, Tate Galey, and Nolan Marshall.
