Alice Bernice Taylor Hardy

Graveside services for Alice Bernice Taylor Hardy will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2018, at 1:00 PM in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mrs. Hardy, age 92, died on Sunday, January 21, 2018, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Greenwood, MS.

She was born on March 18, 1925, in Greenwood, MS, to William and Esther Tollison Taylor and resided in Greenwood most of her life. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Hardy retired from JC Penny after 23 years of service and also served as a Girl Scout Troop leader. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Eugene "Bill" Hardy; granddaughter, Allison Fraiser Faulkner; two sisters, Billie Harris and Ruth Dimaio; and a brother, Ellis Eugene Taylor.

She is survived by her three daughters; Brenda Hardy Phillips (Ernie) of Greenwood, MS, Sharon Hardy Draper (Bob) of Greenwood, MS, and Rhonda Hardy  Gregg (Doug) of Itta Bena, MS; four grandchildren; William Calhoun "Will" Pleasants (Linda), of Destin, Florida,  Gresham Hardy Gregg, Henry Yandell Fraiser IV, and Mary Elouise "Pinky" Gregg; and five great grandchildren : Taylor Pleasants, Lucy Pleasants, Zane Matthews, Lenora Faulkner, and Taylor Faulkner.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. Brad Hodges will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Clay Gregg, Doug Gregg, Dustin Sullivan, Don Rowe, Rob Faulkner, and Zane Matthews. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Fraiser, Gresham Gregg, Ernie Phillips, Bob Draper, Hal Pleasants, Jr., Will Pleasants, and Bubba Fraiser.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, Greenwood, MS or a charity of choice.
