Obituary

Angela Kay Vail Richardson, 43 of Greenwood formerly of Schlater went on to be with the Lord Saturday, May 17, 2014 at her parents residence. Graveside services will be 2p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 at Itta Bena Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon until 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2014 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Rev. Higdon Herrington will officiate.

Angela was born in Greenwood on June 14, 1970 to James "Mookey" and Patsy Ann Vail. She was a member of Schlater Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed crafts and gardening, her favorite was planting flowers. She worked as an aesthetician at the Alluvian Spa , as a cotton classifier for National Agricultural Statistics Service, and worked for Delta Diabetics. She was very thoughtful, kind and tried to think the best of everyone, she was often doing acts of kindness for family, neighbors and friends. Her struggles with diabetes are now over. Thank you Jesus there is no more pain.

Angela is survived by her son Hunter Vail Richardson of Schlater, MS, sister Denise Mason of Carrollton, MS, brother Bobby Mason of Schlater, MS, and her parents. She is also survived by her step-son Christopher Smith,, step daughter Rachel Smith both of Yazoo City and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Poe, Richard Gregg, Gavin Young, Brian K. "Bubba" Chrismond, Shane Young, David "CoCo" Fondren, Jr., Vernon Ricks III, Matt Ricks, Bradley Ricks, and Riley Poe. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tim Vail, Brad Vail, Cliff Chrismond, and Jarrod Ives.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Birmingham Office, 200 Office Park Drive, Suite 303, Birmingham, AL.
