Mrs. Organ, age 91 died on Thursday October 02, 2014 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital of Heart Failure

She was born on October 22, 1922 in Carroll County, MS to the late William and Dora Jackson Duke. She is retired from the Greenwood Public School system after 23 years of service, after retirement she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Mt Pisgah Baptist church, and was the overseer of Mt Pisgah Cemetery. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Dewitt "T.D." Organ, four brothers J.W. Duke, Grover Duke, Bill Duke, and Guy Duke, a sister Hazel McBunch, and a great grandson Garrett Jones.

She is survived by three Daughters, Teresa (Billy) Hopper of Carrollton, MS, Jane (Pat) Didlake of Carrollton, MS, Dorothy (Earl) Prewitt of Carrollton, MS, 3 Granddaughters, Monica (Kenny) Jones of Carrollton, MS, Emily (Tyler) Branch of Carrollton, MS, and Lauren (John) Beck of Carrollton, MS, 5 Great Grandchildren, Kendi-Brook Jones, Allie Beck, Anna Lauren Duke Jones, John Lane Beck, and Anne Michael Branch, two Sisters, Dorothy (Bud) Roberts of Greenwood, MS, and Frances (Ronnie) Wesley of Carrollton, MS.

Visitation will be held on Friday October 03, 2014 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. Lanny Haley will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Robert T. Harris, Mike Montgomery, John Beck, Kenny Jones, Tyler Branch, Ronnie Wesley, Neal Duke, Lee McBunch, William Duke, and Ronald Moss. Honorary Pallbearer will be James "Bud" Roberts. Burial will be in Mt Pisgah Cemetery. The family wishes a special thanks to Dr. Lucas III and his nurse Becky McGlawn, and her care givers Bernice McMillian, Linda Narmour, Stella Reves, and Frances Rias.
