Obituary

Arlene Patterson Camp passed away March 16, 2017, after a lengthy illness in Greenwood, MS.  She was born in Bay City, MI. on December 18, 1922 to Pendil and Marie Patterson. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church in Greenwood. Visitation will be 2 p.m. until service time in the church parlor. Wilson & Knight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bruce after 52 years of marriage, sister Pat Lee, and brother James Patterson.

She is survived by son Cliff (Christy) Camp, Greenwood, MS; daughter Carrie Camp Fondren (John) of Madison, MS; three grandchildren Trey Camp (Renay) of Madison, MS; Anna Camp of Jackson, MS; Will Gooch (Lauren) Atlanta, GA; two great-grandchildren Bierly Camp  and Reagan Jackson, Madison, MS; brother George Patterson (Joanne) Essexville, MI; six nieces and two nephews.

In 1971 Arlene began Tole painting as a hobby which quickly grew into a flourishing business shipping items all over the US.  She had an eye for color and finding unique items which to paint.  After retirement in 1992 she and Bruce moved to Spring Lake Ranch in Carroll County until her death.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to First Presbyterian Church, 300 Main Street, Greenwood, MS 38930, Palmer House, PO 746, Columbus, MS 39703, or charity of choice.
