Services for Barbara Allen Miles will be held Tuesday April 21, 2015 11:00 AM at Graveside in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mrs. Miles, age 85 died on Friday April 17, 2015 at Baptist Desoto of Heart Failure.

She was born on April 16, 1930 in Greenwood, MS to Chester and Ethel Elizabeth Allen and lived in Olive Branch, MS. She was born and raised in Greenwood and was a graduate of Greenwood High School in 1948 and went to college at the University for Women in Columbus, MS. She Taught School in Florida and then Greenwood, MS out of college. She Married Ed Miles in 1953 and Moved over 25 times raising 3 children while Ed was in the Army. She Just recently moved back to Olive Branch, where she was a member of Maples Memorial United Methodist Church and her Circle group. Barbara was known for her gracious hospitality and serving heart. It wasn't uncommon to find Barbara in her MS State Bulldog's gear passionately pulling for her Dawgs. We will miss you dearly,"Butter". She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Ed Miles Sr, and a daughter Beth Miles Sessums.
She is survived by two Sons, Allen Miles of Olive Branch, MS, and Ed Miles Jr of Olive Brach, MS, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 21, 2015 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. John Sudduth will officiate the services. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
