CARROLLTON - William Calvin "Bill" Brunson, age 85, died on Tuesday November 19, 2013 at the Jackson Regency Hospital. He was born on October 05, 1928 to the Late J.R and IV Brunson in Cascilla MS and resided in Avalon most of his life. He graduated from Greenwood High School and Mississippi State College in 1952 with a degree in agricultural economics, and was a lifelong farmer in Avalon. He was a Korean War veteran and a member of the Mt Pisgah Baptist Church in Carroll County. Bill is preceded in death by a sister Mamie Lucille Willing, and a brother J.R. Brunson Jr.
Visitation will be held on Thursday 11/21/2013 9:00 AM 11:00 AM at the Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 11/21/2013 11:00 AM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton.
He is survived by Wife, of 57 years, Elouise Brunson of Carrollton, MS. 2 Daughters, Ella Brunson Pogue of Eupora, MS, and Robin Brunson Hunt and her husband Steve of Gluckstadt, MS, 2 Sons, Billy Brunson and his wife Cheryl of Greenwood, MS, Son, Gene Brunson and his wife Angelia of Brandon, MS, one sister I. V. Freeman of Avalon, 11 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
