Billie Lucille Harris, 89, of Greenwood, MS went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 4, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. Services will be 11 am Monday, August 7, 2017 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home and visitation will be from 10 am until service time. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery on Carrollton Ave in Greenwood. Bro. Jim Phillips will officiate. Wilson & Knight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Harris was born on September 9, 1927 in Greenwood to the late William D. Taylor and Ester Taylor. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching North Greenwood Baptist Church services on TV on Sunday mornings. She was previously an active Doe of the local Elks Lodge. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe F Harris, Sr. after 41 years of marriage; parents; a brother, William D Taylor, Jr.; sister, Ruth Dimaio; and 2 grandsons, Bobby Joe Logan and Corey Sullivan.

She is survived by her sister, Alice Bernice Hardy; 5 children, Joe Harris, Jr. (Miriam) of Greenwood, Lucille Sullivan Schultz (Herbert) of Greenwood, Danny Harris of Greenwood, James Lee Harris (Carollyn) of Greenwood, and Jerry Harris (Joan) of Grenada; 9 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Joe Harris III, Jonathan David Harris, Sr., Shannon Harris, Jimmy Joe Harris, Dustin Sullivan, Christopher Harris, Jonathan David Harris, Jr., and Ryan Harris. The family would like to thank Grace Hospice for all their care and kindness. Memorials may be made to North Greenwood Baptist Church.
