Billy Dale Moore
April 30, 1941 – January 4, 2016

Billy Dale Moore, 74, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2016, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital after a fierce battle with brain cancer. He was born on April 30, 1941, in Kosciusko, Mississippi to Willis and Laverne Davidson Moore and grew up in Tchula, Mississippi. Billy was a graduate of Tchula High School and Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology.

Billy began his career at Baldwin Piano Company before his 34-year tenure at National Picture & Frame where he moved through the ranks from assistant plant manager to Executive Vice President. After retirement, he served as a manufacturing consultant throughout the Southeast.

He was a member of North Greenwood Baptist Church, served as a board member to the Boys Club, Greenwood Country Club, Mississippi Polymer Science Committee, Greenwood Leflore Industrial Board, Chamber of Commerce, and member of Gideon's International. Billy was an avid golfer, gardener, and family man.

Billy was a great man in stature and spirit. He was a gentle giant and true gentleman. His big heart, humility, and devout faithfulness were exemplified in his daily life. Billy married his first love, Janice Henderson, on August 6, 1961 and from that day forward they remained together until the Lord called him home.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Laverne Moore; son, William Todd Moore; and brother, Bobby C. Moore. He is survived by his wife, Janice Henderson Moore; grandson, Christopher Matthew Moore (Lizzie); special cousin, Martha Kilcrease (Donnie); many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Services for Billy Dale Moore will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at North Greenwood Baptist Church in Greenwood, Mississippi. Visitation will begin at 9:30am followed by services at 11am officiated by Dr. Jim Phillips; with the final resting place at Pinecrest Cemetery in Tchula.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice or to North Greenwood Baptist, c/o Men's Ministry, 615 Grand Blvd. Greenwood, MS 38930. Wilson and Knight Funeral Home is in charge.
