Obituary

Greenwood, MS: Roy Carleton "Bubba" Campbell, 63, was found Monday September 9, 2013 at his home near Greenwood. The exact date of death is undetermined. A Memorial service will be 11 A.M. Tuesday September 17, 2013 at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home with interment in Oak Forrest Cemetery in Pontotoc, MS. Rev. Glenn Seefeld will officiate. Visitation is Tuesday from 10 -11 A.M. at the funeral home.

Bubba was born to Louie and Gloria Thornton Campbell in Greenville, MS, moved to Drew at an early age and spent his youth there. He was a graduate of Drew High School, attended MS Delta Jr. College where he played basketball, and later graduated from Delta State University. He moved to Greenwood in 1990 where he owned and operated Camcrete Construction Company. Bubba was a member of the First United Methodist Church, was an avid turkey hunter and former president of the three rivers chapter of Wild Turkey Federation. He loved fishing and was an avid outdoorsman. Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Gwen Kersey Campbell.

Bubba is survived by his son Michael Thornton Campbell of Chicago, ILL, a sister Trudye Garraway of Madison, MS and a nephew Brad Garraway of Madison, MS.
