Carmenann Noles Mattox passed away March 15, 2016, at Greenwood LeFlore Hospital, Greenwood, Mississippi. Originally a native of Paducah, Kentucky, she lived in Greenwood,
Mississippi for many years.

Carmenann will be remembered as a sweet, loving, and caring "Mom", who always thought of family first and herself last, without exception. She was the ultimate "coach's wife". She spent many early years supporting both her husband as a coach and the athletes he coached at Greenwood High School.
She especially supported her two sons, Jamie and Robbie, in all their sports and other activities at Greenwood High School. She loved being a grandmother to her four grandsons.

She was employed as a stock broker in her early career at E. F. Hutton and was a regional manager with Unicel cellular company in her later years.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sue Nan Noles; her father, Bob G. Noles; and her mother-in-law, Lucille FitzGibbons Mattox.

Carmenann is survived by her husband of 45 years, James (Jim) C. Mattox; her two dearly beloved sons, James (Jamie) FitzGibbons Mattox of Greenwood, Mississippi, and Robert
(Robbie) Noles Mattox and his wife, Amy, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; and four grandsons, Trenton Maeleigh Mattox, Noah Noles Mattox, Axel Voss Mattox, and Colter Carey Mattox. Carmenann is also survived by a sister Gwendolyn Noles of New Orleans, Louisiana, as well as very special cousins and an extraordinary number of lifelong childhood friends.

Pallbearers will be Matt Avant, Lee Houston, Wade Johnson, Matt Ricks, Preston Rideout, and Shane Young

Visitation will be Thursday, March 17, 2016, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, March 18, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Greenwood. Interment will be at a later date.
