Carolyn Belk Prewitt, 78 of North Carrollton died Sunday, June 8, 2014 at St. Dominic's Hospital in Jackson. Services will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at North Carrollton Baptist Church. Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 2:30p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at North Carrollton Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. Rev. Tommy Clark will officiate.
Mrs. Prewitt was born February 9, 1936 in Ethel MS to Arthur and Mattie Belk. She was a member of North Carrollton Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family ; her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son David Keith Prewitt, two brothers J.C. Belk, Harold Belk and her sister Shirley Parrott.

Mrs. Prewitt is survived by her son Milton Earl Prewitt and wife Dorothy of Carrollton, MS, her daughter Renee Prewitt Martin of North Carrollton, MS and her son Douglas Monroe Prewitt and wife Joy of Quitman, MS. She is also survived by two sisters Elinor Rozier of Carrollton, Barbara Adams of Indianola, MS and seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
