Charles "Bobby" Thomas Hurst, 61, of Greenwood, MS, died Monday, September 8, 2025, at his residence. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home with visitation 1 p.m. until service time. Rev. Dustin Long will officiate. Interment will be in Valley Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Hurst was born August 29, 1964, to Robert Hurst and Frances McGinnis Hurst. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He worked for Deviney Construction for 38 years, where he was Senior Vice President over North Mississippi and Tennessee for both the telecommunications and tree trimming for power. He was awarded Best Operations numerous times over the years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, and Ole Miss football. He was preceded in death by his father, and his brother, Robert Hurst.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cheryl Lynn Bridges Hurst of Greenwood, MS; daughter, Brittany Farmer (Bo) of Greenwood, MS; son, Darrell Blakely (Sebastien Robcis) of New York City, NY; mother, Frances McGinnis Hurst of Holcomb, MS; sister, Liz Grist of Vardaman, MS; and two grandchildren, Sara Hurst Farmer and Winn Farmer.

Pallbearers will be Randy May, David Floyd, Bobby Henson, Curtis Davis, Craig Bridges, Thomas Bridges, and Terry Bridges. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Deviney Construction Company.
