Services for Charles "Charlie" Joseph Montgomery, Sr. will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 10:00 AM graveside in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton, MS.

Mr. Montgomery, age 85, died on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at Indywood Glen in Greenwood.

He was born on June 26, 1937 in Carrollton to the late William Montgomery and Josephine Gee Montgomery. He was a retired farmer and a member of Morgan City Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Smith Montgomery, and brother, Bill Montgomery.

He is survived by his daughter, Ellen (David) Hey of Greenwood; sons, Andy (Nancye) Montgomery of Natchez, and Charles J. "Charlie" Montgomery, Jr. of Greenwood; seven grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

Rev. Glen Barlow will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Billy Montgomery, Wally Montgomery, Cord Montgomery, Walt Montgomery, Neal Brown, and Wayne Walker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sammy Brown and Fred Waggoner.

The family extends a special thanks to the Staff Indywood Glen and Vital Care Hospice for their exceptional care.
