Charles D. (Chuck) Wyatt, 73, died peacefully on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center.
Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 2, at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS. Prior to the service, there will be a visitation at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 3, at North Greenwood Baptist Church followed by the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. at North Greenwood Baptist Church, and then burial at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Teoc,
Mississippi. Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate.

Chuck was born in Richlands, Virginia, where he spent his childhood years until graduating from Honaker High School in May 1959. Like his older brothers, Chuck
enlisted in the United States Air Force upon graduation in the fall of 1959 where he went through basic training in North Carolina. During basic training, Chuck excelled at air
mechanics and fuel hydraulics, an area where there was a great need at the time due to an escalation in the Cold War. The military and fate would send Chuck to the Little Rock
Air Force Base in central Arkansas. While primarily stationed in Little Rock, Chuck's talents as a mid-air fuel aviator took him all over the world but primarily Goose Bay,
Labrador, and southern Spain where he refueled long-range jets in cross-continental flights during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In the spring of 1963, Chuck met his future wife
Sharon Bledsoe in Little Rock. In late 1963 and one year shy of his honorable discharge as Airman First Class from the Air Force, Chuck and Sharon were united in a marriage
that would last 51 years together. During this time, God blessed Chuck and Sharon with three sons: David (1964), Allan (1967) and Steven (1971).

Chuck Wyatt had a very long successful career in the soft drink business beginning in Little Rock in 1965 before deciding to retire in 2012. Over his 47 year career he was well known by his peers, subordinates and upper management as one who worked tirelessly to ensure annual goals were met within budget and on time. At the midpoint of his career in 1983 Chuck decided to accept a position in Greenwood, MS. During this time, both Chuck and Sharon formed lifelong relationships and raised their boys in an environment that the entire family to this day calls home.
The family of Chuck Wyatt would like everyone to know what a kind, gentle,humorous, and loving spirit he displayed with everyone. Chuck was known as a "salt of the earth"
man who devoted his spare time to grilling out and fishing with his sons.
However, his true passion and God-given ability was as a master craftsman building everything from exquisite furniture and cabinets to beautifully crafted bowls made from
rare and exotic woods.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Sharon Bledsoe Wyatt, of Greenwood, MS; his son, John Allan Wyatt, and daughter-in-law, Carlene Shelton Wyatt, of Grenada, MS, and granddaughter, Elizabeth Ann Wyatt, of Tupelo, MS; his son, Steven Mark Wyatt,
daughter-in-law, Missy Barnett Wyatt, and grandchildren, Madeline Rae Wyatt and Steven Mark Wyatt, Jr., all of Jackson, MS; his grandson, Charles David Wyatt, daughter-in-law, Amity Headley Wyatt, and great-granddaughter, Lillian Noelle Wyatt, of
Little Rock, AR; his brother, John Daniel (Sonny) Wyatt Jr., of Wichita, KS; and his sister, Nelcene Wyatt Miller, of Newport News, VA. Chuck was preceded in death by his son, David Charles Wyatt, of Little Rock, AR; his parents, John Daniel Wyatt and Lucy Mae Wyatt; brothers Howard Parsons Wyatt
and Ralph Bernard Wyatt; and sister Ruth Wyatt Hale all of Richlands, VA.
