Cheri Cannon Mims, 59, died Friday, August 10, 2018 at her home in Minter City, MS. Services will be at North Greenwood Baptist Church in Greenwood, MS, on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at 3pm, with visitation preceding from 1:30pm until service time.  Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate. Interment will follow in Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS.

Mrs. Mims was born in Greenwood, MS, on March 4, 1959 to Edgar Barry Cannon and Betty Meeks Cannon. She was employed by Life Help Industries as a registered nurse.  She was a member of North Greenwood Baptist Church.

She is predeceased by her father, Edgar Barry Cannon.

She is survived by her husband, James Gary Mims; son, James Michael Mims (Jessica); daughter, Laura Mims Williams (Jeff); mother, Betty Meeks Cannon; brothers, Edgar Barry Cannon, Jr. and James Neal Cannon; sister, Vicki Cannon Counts; four grandchildren, Wyatt Mims, Lily Mims, Cannon Williams, and Ross Williams, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Pallbearers will be Matt Counts, Tate Cannon, Tyler Cannon, Matthew Brown, Phillip Rhodes, William Adams, Robert Adams, Jonathan Grantham, and Michael Mims.
