Obituary

Clayton Neil McGehee, 91, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital in Greenwood, Mississippi.
He was born in Attala County, Mississippi on May 20, 1923. He worked thirty-four years at Farmers Supply Co-op as Petroleum Manager, and after retirement, he enjoyed working part-time for the Mississippi Blood Services based in Jackson, MS and Cannon Motors in Greenwood.
Mr. McGehee was a member of First Baptist Church in Greenwood, and in his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching baseball.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene McGehee of Greenwood, MS, daughter Patty Newsom of Starkville, four grandsons Harold Lee Carlisle, Jr. (Tammy) of Starkville, Jason Casey Carlisle of Flowood, Trey Newsom of Nashville, TN, Trevor Newsom of Nashville, TN, one great-grandson Elijiah Shiers Carlisle of Starkville, sister Ruby James of Carrollton, sister Joy Dickson of CoCo Beach, Florida, step-daughter Janet Henderson of Arkansas, step-son Jimmy Sivley of Arkansas, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mr. McGehee was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette McGehee Carlisle, a son Larry Neil McGehee, and his parents Earl and Irma McGehee.

Visitation will be held at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Dr. Joe Pate will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 500 West Washington Street, Greenwood, MS 38930 or to one's charity of choice.
