Daniel "Danny" Joseph Box, 67, of Greenwood, MS, died Monday, January 29, 2024 at his residence. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home with visitation 12 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Vaiden Cemetery. Dr. Harold Wheeler will officiate.

Mr. Box was born June 8, 1956 in Greenwood, MS, to James David Box and Irene Dulin Box.  He was a member of Bible Fellowship Church. He was a drummer and enjoyed music.  He was a loving dad, teacher, and musical mentor. He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by two sons, James Jason Box of Fulton, MS, and Daniel Leighton Box of Clinton, MS; brothers, Robert David Box of Greenwood, MS, and Thomas Leslie Box of Georgia; sisters, Nancy Box Jeffords of St. Augustine, FL, and Carol Ann Box Adams of Madison, MS; and five grandchildren, Dakota Rose Box, Jace Box, Maddox Box, Avery Box, and Georgia Leigh Box.
