Carrollton, MS: David Needham Watson, Sr., 67, passed away Tuesday February 11, 2014 in Carroll County, MS. Services are 10 A.M. Friday Feb. 14, 2014 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home with interment in Evergreen cemetery in North Carrollton. Rev. Fletcher Moorman will officiate. Visitation is Thursday evening from 5-7 P.M. at Wilson & Knight.

Mr. Watson was an avid reader, enjoyed walking and had a passion for the outdoors. He was a member of the Greenwood Gun Club and enjoyed sporting clay events. In addition to being active with hobbies, he enjoyed a good laugh with his unique humor and wit. Above all he was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vesta Ables and Joe David Watson of Belzoni, a sister, Sarah Ann Donald and a brother Cecil Millwood.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Watson of Carrollton, a son, David Watson, Jr. of Greenwood, a daughter, Lisa Watson of Carrollton and a Grandson, David Watson, III of Greenwood. He is also survived by a sister, Cleo Elliott of Carrollton, many nieces, nephews and friends.
