Don Fancher, 75, of Carrollton died Saturday, August 2, 2014 at his residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Wilson & Knight Chapel. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. until service time Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev. Tommy Clark will officiate.

Mr. Fancher was born September 6, 1938 in Carroll County to Graham Diggs and Mary Strub Fancher. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School class of 1958 where he was a member of the Tide Club and Mississippi State University class of 1962. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and a member of North Carrollton Baptist Church where he served on the usher committee for 4 years.

Mr. Fancher was a former member of the Leflore County Hunting and Fishing Association where he conducted several Gun Safety courses. Don's special interests thru the years was Duck Hunting and made some of Leflore County's best hot tamales. He was a loving and devoted father and husband. He was a salesman at Hamrick Motor Co., Cade-Davis-Tubbs Ford and he sponsored the girls' softball team for his company, Don Fancher Autos, Inc. from 1975 to 1982. He is preceded in death by a brother, Myron Russell Fancher, his mother, Mary Strub Fancher and his father, Graham Diggs Fancher.

Mr. Fancher is survived by his wife, Paulette Bogart Fancher of Carrollton, daughters, Paula Jean Fancher Vance and husband Billy, their 5 children, Kim Massey, Kadie and Sissy Vance, Andrea Fancher and Jake Jolly, all of Tupelo, MS, Candy Fancher McGee and husband Darren, their 4 children, Aaron, Jonathan, Micah and Jordan, all of Indianapolis, IN. Nieces and nephews, Donna Davis and Cindy Addison of Olive Branch, MS, Andy Fancher of Harrison, TN, Mariclaire and Michael Fancher of Greenwood.
