Private family graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Greenwood, MS.

Mr. Garrett, 71, died Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at his residence in Ridgeland, MS.

He was born on August 16, 1950 to James Noah and Edna Pauline Garrett, lived in Greenwood most of his life, and resided in Ridgeland for the past 5 years. Mr. Garrett worked at Mississippi Delta Community College for 34 years where he served as Vice President of Business Services. He was a lifelong Baptist. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sharon Garrett Mcllwain; and a brother, James William Garrett.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janice Faye Quinn Garrett of Ridgeland; two daughters, Angela Kay Garrett (Dewayne) Donahoo of Brandon, and Kelli Beth Garrett (Justin) Jones of Ridgeland; one son, John Christopher (Tina) Garrett of Winona; six grandchildren, Branson Rayburn, Erin Rayburn, Cameron Donahoo, Connor Donahoo, River Woods, and Raleigh Woods; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Nell (John) Downs of Greenwood.
