Services for Doris Evelyn Watkins will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022 11:00 AM graveside in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Greenwood, MS.

Mrs. Watkins, age 84, died on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Golden Age Nursing Home.

She was born on March 3, 1938 in Greenwood, MS, to the late Bob Ganey and Dewey Dendy Lehr. She worker as one of the first women cotton classers for the USDA and also worked as a nurse at Golden Age Nursing Home for 33 years. She was a member of North Greenwood Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, and a son, Joe Allen Lee, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Watkins (Jeff) Jones of Carrollton, MS, and four grandchildren, Hunter Jones, Justin Jones, Chris Lee, and Jamie Lee.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate the services.
