Dorothy Eloise Shelton Arline died on her 84th birthday, March 25, 2014, after a brief illness. Funeral services are 2 P.M. Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Fr. J. Brian Ponder will officiate. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation is from 1-2 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

She was a longtime resident of Greenwood, who within the past 10 years had lived in Ridgeland, and most recently Meridian. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School, and was employed by the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. for a number of years. Growing up in Greenwood she was a member of the First Baptist Church, and later became a member of the First Christian Church, where she was active in CWF. She was a member of the Greenwood Junior Auxiliary,and the Greenwood Womans Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. R. E. Arline, and grandson Christopher York Arline. She is survived by her son Robert E. Arline, Jr. (Connie) of Meridian, MS, her grandson Robert E. Arline III, great granddaughters Brittany A. Arline, and Hannah S. Arline, and a sister Inez Shelton Smith.

Pallbearers are Rob Beasy, Jeff McCoy, Kyle McCoy, Frank Shelton, Mart Smith, and Matt Smith.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Shea Hailey, and her caregivers at Aldersgate Retirement Community, Southern Care Hospice, and The Oaks Rehabilitation & Health Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greenwood Cemetery Association
