Services for Douglas Mark Mitchell will be held Friday September 5, 2014 2:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS

Mr. Mitchell, age 59 died on Tuesday September 02, 2014 at St. Dominic Hospital of heart failure

He was born on June 28, 1955 in Sunflower County, MS to the late Coy and Willie Earls Mitchell and resided in Greenwood most of his life. He worked for Piggly Wiggly for 20 years, as a bridge contractor for 17years, and the past 2 years for Pure Air. He was a devoted Papaw to his 2 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother Bo Mitchell and a sister Jan Goodman

He is survived by two Daughters, Britney (Charley) Wood of Saltillo, MS, Keely Mitchell and her fiancé Fluff Brecheen of Mooreville, MS, three Sisters, Carol (Jimmy) Sanders of Belen, MS, Stella (James) Moore of Tupelo, MS, and Fran (Donnie) Wiltshire of Carrollton, MS, 2 Grandchild, Mikey Wood, and Liza Wood, Sister-in-Law, Rhonda Mitchell of Coila, MS, and Brother in Law, Jimmy Goodman of Okolona, MS.

Visitation will be held on Friday September 5, 2014 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. John Shackelford will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Bradley Moore, Shannon Moore, Eric Mitchell, David Elmore, Nick Serio, and Glenn Moore. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roger Earls, Josh Earls, Ellis Earls, Steve Hughes, Roger West, and the Employees of Pure Air. Burial will be in Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville, MS.

Wilson & Knight is in charge. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, or Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.
