Doyle Edward Lee

April 7, 1929 – January 7, 2018

Doyle passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018. He was born to Clyde Earl Lee and Laura Watson Lee in Minter City, MS.

He worked a number of different jobs in his life including foundries in New Orleans and St. Louis, Billup's Service Stations, and Barrentine Implements. He owned Tiger Oil Co. for almost 30 years and at one time operated 3 service stations.  Doyle loved his farm in Carroll County, hunting, taking care of his dogs and cats, and old westerns, especially Gunsmoke.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Amy Kelly Lee. He is survived by his son, Terry   Lee (Martha) in Hattiesburg, MS, and daughter, Tammy Dyess (Andy) in Madison, MS.  He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Cathy Robinson, Chris Lee, Amy Dyess, and Kelly Dyess, 5 great grandchildren, and sister, Betty Killebrew.  The family greatly appreciates Marilyn Hale for the care she provided.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Wilson and Knight from 1:00PM till 2:00PM. Graveside services will follow at Itta Bena Cemetery. Butch Kelly will officiate.  Pallbearers will be family members.

Memorials may be made to North Greenwood Baptist and Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS.
