Durward Lynn Riales, 70, of Greenwood, Mississippi, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the Arbor in Ridgeland. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday December 1, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, with visitation from 10 a.m. until service time in the church parlor. Rev. Andrew Chaney will officiate. Interment will follow in Oxford Memorial Cemetery.
Lynn was born June 27, 1955, in Senatobia, MS, to Howard Earl Riales and Martha Ann Sealy Riales. After graduation from high school, he received his BBA and MBA in accounting from Delta State University. He was a member of the Army National Guard for twenty years following a tour in the Navy, where he served on the USS Forrestal aircraft carrier. Lynn retired from Life Help, where he was the chief accountant after thirty years of dedicated service.
He was an active member of First Presbyterian Church where he served as Secretary of the Deacons, attended Sunday School, and was a member of the Men's Prayer Breakfast. Lynn was a graduate of the Bethel Bible Study Program. He was proud of his recent study of the first five books of the Old Testament. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Margaret Wylie Riales of Greenwood, MS; sister-in-law, Barbara "Babs" Wylie; brother-in-law, Al Wylie (Valerie); niece, Hart Wylie, and her children, Madeleine and Mary Gilbert; and niece, Megan Wiley; and uncle, Jim Sealy and his children, Jim Sealy, Jr., Bob Sealy, and Mary Beth Bolen.
Pallbearers will be Randy Clark, Floyd Melton, Moss Melton, Morgan Gulledge, Miller Arant, Drew Pinkston, Al Wylie III, Thomas Gregory, Wilson Moses, and Brett Canterbury.
