Obituary

Earlene Clark Estes

Born to the late Earl and Ruby Clark on January 6, 1934 in Drew, Mississippi. She shared her birthday with her late, younger brother Gary "Joe" Clark.

Earlene was our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-Christ and wonderful friend to many. She had a personality that many knew, a smile that would light up a room and a laugh that was infectious. To know her was to love her. Earlene was a socialite of Greenwood, MS and her hometown, Shaw, MS.

She married the love of her life, James T. "Shack" Estes of Noxapater, MS where she spent the best and last years of her life. Together, they had a love for their family and spent many a day fishing the Ross Barnett Reservoir and the Tombigbee Waterway. They had a great group of friends that they enjoyed camping with and were frequents at Timberlake campground at the Reservoir.

Earlene had a love for entertaining. Whether it was playing dominos or cards with the family or having fish fries with friends after a day of fishing, or playing Bridge; she was always a joy.

Her Civic Work included: Daughters of the American Revolution; Associate Member of LeBonte Woman's' Club where she was Secretary, VP, & President, Miss Federations of Women's Clubs, member and secretary of Greenwood Junior Auxiliary, Girl Scout leader for ten years and served NW Miss Girl Scout council as secretary; Member of Greenwood Park commission where she was appointed by the mayor for 2 years; Associate member of Town & Country Garden Club of Greenwood.

She is survived by her three children, Kenda Reynolds Ferguson (Sam) of Brandon; Dawn Reynolds Godfrey (Flip) of Ridgeland; Jeff David Reynolds II (Randy Roybal) of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Grandchildren include: Dustin & Derek Tominello, Savana Ferguson Skelton (John), Spencer Ferguson Brooks (Justin) and Denver Ashley Wilson. Great grandchildren: Lana Brooke McGinnis, Sadie Skelton & Hayes Brooks.
