Edith Carlene Smith

April 28, 1946 – September 5, 2018

Edith Carlene "Frankie" Smith passed away peacefully to her heavenly home on September 5, 2018 after a brief illness. She was born in Birmingham, AL, on April 28, 1946.

Carlene was preceded in death by her parents, Dora Edith Criss and Carlton Tucker, and a brother, Raymond Earl O'Rear. She was an avid Alabama fan, "Roll Tide!!"

She is survived by her brother, Bobby Joe Watson of Savanna, GA; son, Darron Watson and his wife Leigha, and daughter, Jennifer Goss and her husband Doug, all of the Valley community; seven grandchildren, Tyler Ferguson, Landon Ferguson, Letty Goss, Amber Goss, Douglas Goss, Jr, Jimmy Lee Goss and Taylor Goss; niece, Renae O'Rear; as well as numerous family and friends.

Carlene's home going service will be Saturday, September 8, 2018 11:00 AM at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Teoc, MS. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM till 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be in the Moore's Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Gary Tanner will officiate the services.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
