Obituary

Elizabeth McAdams,95, of Greenwood died Monday, April 4, 2016 at Applegrove Assisted Living Center in Memphis. Services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Greenwood, MS. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. until service time Thursday, April 7, 2016 at the church. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Rev. Peter Gray will officiate. Wilson & Knight Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Elizabeth moved to Greenwood with her husband, local architect James McAdams in 1951. She was a communicant of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity, serving on the altar guild for many years. Her special interest were teaching adult reading classes, and serving as a walking guide at Cottanlandia. She was a member of several garden clubs and loved working in the churches gardens. Elizabeth was a special education teacher at the Little Red Schoolhouse until its closure. She was
preceded in death by her husband.
A special thanks to her daughter Boo, a nurse by trade who provided love and
support during Elizabeth's final months.

Mrs. McAdams is survived by her sons Mike McAdams of Ocean Springs, MS, and David McAdams of Pittsburg PA and daughter Karen Morlino of Memphis, TN. Also survived by six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael McCool, Jared Montegut, John Dessler, Gene
Welsh, James Matthew Sorey and Greg Williams.
