Eloise Gore, 90, of Greenwood, MS, died Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Golden Age Nursing Nursing Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home with visitation 9 a.m. until service time. David Wier will officiate the services. Interment will follow in North Union Cemetery in Bellefontaine, MS.

Eloise was born September 20, 1933 to Judd Ray Pittman and Eunice Connell Pittman. She was a member of Phillipston Baptist Church where she loved to play the piano. She enjoyed painting, cooking, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed serving and caring for other people.  She worked for the United States Postal Service until retirement.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Gore, Sr.; her son, Thomas Albert Gore; daughter, Michelle Eloise Gore Melton; four brothers, four sisters, and her parents

She is survived by her son, Robert E. Gore, Jr. of Grenada, MS; daughters, Gail Minga and husband Jim of Olive Branch, MS, and Cynthia Ingram and husband John of Argyle, TX;  brothers, Wayne Pittman and Billy Pittman; ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
