Eugene "Gene" Lefelt Saulter, 69, of Carrollton, MS, died Monday, September 7, 2021, at his home. Services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home with visitation from 2:00 PM until the service time. The Rev. Larry Chouccoli will officiate.

Gene was born September 11, 1951 in Leland, MS, to James Lefelt Saulter and Mellie Mae Chouccoli Saulter. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, as well as hunting and fishing. He worked most of his life in the land construction field. He is preceded in death by both his parents; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bonnie and Tony Carrillo; brother-in-law, Sammie Williams; his sister, Alice Saulter Swindle; and his brother, Jesse Calvin Saulter.

He is survived by his wife, Dollie Saulter of Carrollton, MS; sister, Patsy Saulter Knowles of Jackson, MS; sister-in-law, Cynthia Clarke Saulter of Carrollton, MS; brother-in-law, Warren Swindle of Brandon, MS; sister-in law, Conner (Randy) Williams Houston of Wilburton, OK; brother-in-law, Johnny Williams; nieces, Angel (Glen) Lessel of Wilburton, OK, Sonya (Don) Swindle Hanke of Brandon, MS, Sukey Knowles-Hearld of Pearl, MS, Felecia Michelle Saulter of Moorehead, MS, Bonnie Williams of Muskogee, OK, and Holly Smith of Wilburton, OK; nephews, Kenny Armstrong of Shreveport, LA, James (Stacey) Clarke Saulter of Pass Christian, MS, Tony Smith of Wilburton, OK, Sean Smith of Wilburton, OK, and James Paul Swindle of Atlanta, GA; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
