Frances Burton Aldridge

Services for Frances Burton Aldridge will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 2:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.

Mrs. Aldridge, age 86, died on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

She was born on July 20, 1932 to the late Charlie and Omie Johnson Burton in Schlater and resided in Itta Bena most of her life. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Itta Bena and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenwood. She retired from Delta Parts after 20 years of service. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Billy E. Aldridge, and a son, Don Aldridge.

She is survived by her daughter, Jan (Andy) Cummings of Grenada, MS; son, Wayne (Michelle) Aldridge of Greenwood, MS; brother, Charles Burton of Carmack, MS; and four grandchildren, Cassie Cummings, Caleb Cummings, Karle Aldridge, and Roger Derrick Simpson, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev. Randy Clayton and Caleb Cummings will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Steve McCrimmon, Arvid Woodard, Tommy McCrory, Barry Corley, David Cummings, and Chris Walker. Interment will follow in Itta Bena Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Itta Bena, First Baptist Church of Grenada, or Immanuel Baptist Church.
