Services for George Lewis Gillette, II will be held Tuesday, September 12, 2017 11:00 AM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.

Mr. Gillette, age 77, died on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Northwest Regional Medical Center in Clarksdale, MS.

George was born on February 27, 1940 in Minneapolis, MN, to the late Jack and Thelma Josephine Loper Gillette. He attended Castle Heights Military Academy and Kern Naval School in Pass Christian, MS. George had a special love for music and radio. He attended DJ School in Memphis, had a great love for animals and was also a Boy Scout. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Loper Gillette.

He is survived by his two sisters, Josephine Spicer of St. Louis, MO, and Jane Gillette of St. Louis, MO, a nephew, niece, and a great niece.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Wally Stuckey, Allan Hammons, and Ray Nash. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
