Mrs. Trudy Lindsey, 92, passed away at Compere's Nursing Home in Jackson, MS. Funeral Services will be at 11 A.M. Tuesday, at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS, with burial in the Sidon Cemetery. Pastor John Cantele will officiate. Visitation is from 10-11 Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lindsey was born to Rev. and Mrs. Philip Polster in Foster, Nebraska. She graduated from high school in San Antonio, Texas and worked as a civilian employee for the US Air Force. She married Major John E. Lindsey, who fought as a pilot in WWII. They were stationed in the far east and stateside for several years before settling on a farm near Sidon, MS. As a founder of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Greenwood, she was an active member, a former Sunday school teacher, and the church organist for a number of years. An avid gardener, she was a founding member of the O'bera Garden Club and a long-time Treasurer of the State Garden Clubs of Mississippi. She worked for a number of years as a bookkeeper for Farrish Gravel Company. Mrs. Lindsey was quite artistic and enjoyed flower arranging, cake decorating, painting, and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Lindsey, and her oldest son James, who died of cancer.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter, Roger (Jean), Curtis (Penny), and Anita (Jim Tanner), and grandchildren Becca Hodges, Curt Lindsey, Sarah Lindsey Anderson, Charles and Elizabeth Lindsey, Evan Tanner and one great-granddaughter Ava Anderson.
