Guinn L. Cantrell

December 31, 1923-June 24, 2015

Guinn L. Cantrell Sr., age 91, died of heart failure on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, AR.

Guinn was born on December 31, 1923 to the late William Jasper and Rose Ella Cantrell in Helena, AR and resided in Greenwood, MS most of his life before moving to Bella Vista, AR. Guinn served in the United States Navy, Seabees division during WWII. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Greenwood and a member of Greenwood Exchange Club. He retired from Wilson and Knight Funeral Home after 40 years of service and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife Bettye Cantrell of Bella Vista, AR., son, Guinn Cantrell Jr. of Bella Vista, AR., three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 5 PM till 7PM at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS. Rev. Brad Hodges will officiate the services. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM, at Maple Hill Cemetery in Helena, AR. Pall bearers will be David Cantrell, Jonathan Cantrell, Luke Dial, Garrett Vincent, William Johnston, Charles Hunter Johnston and Dennis Johnston.
