Services for Helen Lorean Hollis will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016 2:00 PM at Hill View Baptist Church.
Mrs. Hollis, age 94, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at Country Meadows Personal Care Home.
She was born on July 2, 1921 in Dermott, AR, to the late Sam and Margaret Story Clark, and she moved to Greenwood in 1970. Mrs. Hollis was a sales clerk at many retail stores in Greenwood. She was a member of Malmaison Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Hollis; son, Leon Hollis; and a daughter, Helen Fay Prince.
She is survived by two daughters, Ella Yarbrough of Florence, MS, and Dianna (Ken) Ricks of Vaiden, MS; son, Carlton (Cheryl) Hollis of Carrollton, MS; three brothers, Eugene Clark of Dermott, AR, Billy Jack Clark of Hammond, LA, and Donald Clark of Hammond, LA; a sister, Bonnie Murray of Houston, TX; and twenty one grandchildren, fifty four great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hill View Baptist Church in Greenwood. Rev David Bartlett will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be her great grandsons. Burial will follow in Malmaison Baptist Church Cemetery.
