Services for Helen Alexander Poole Smith will be held Saturday, August 31, 2019 11:00 AM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.

Mrs. Smith, age 96, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Golden Age Nursing Home of heart failure.

She was born on May 25, 1923 in Water Valley, MS, to the late Fred Lee and Hattie Tullos Alexander and lived in Greenwood, MS. Helen is preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph M. Poole, two brothers, and two sisters. She was a member of North Greenwood Baptist Church and retired from Supreme Electronics.

She is survived by her husband, Burly T. "Jack" Smith of Greenwood, MS; two daughters, Linda Poole Moore and Brenda Anne Poole of Greenwood, MS; son, Ralph Poole of Rome, GA; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Steven Childs, George Hammons, Jake Singh, George Gillespie, Bob Givens, and Luke Singh. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
