Services for Herbert "Buster" Harlan Schultz will be held Thursday, February 27, 2020 11:00 AM at North Greenwood Baptist Church in Greenwood, MS.

Mr. Schultz, age 72, died on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at his residence.

He was born on July 23, 1947 in Brookhaven, MS, to the late Charles and Julia Long Schultz and resided in Greenwood the past six years. He was an active member of North Greenwood Baptist Church where he loved to sing in the choir. He retired from DHS as a program specialist after 20 years of service. Buster proudly served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Charles Schultz, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Sullivan Schultz of Greenwood, MS; son, Gavin Schultz of Charleston, MS; daughter, Memorie Guest of Charleston, MS; two grandchildren, Landon Guest of Inverness, MS, and Georgia Guest of Inverness, MS; step son, Dustin Sullivan of Greenwood, MS; step daughter, Courtney Sullivan Gillon of Greenwood, MS; four step grandchild, Preslee Sullivan, Taylor Sullivan, Dean Sullivan, and Sadie Sullivan; and a sister Margaret Cockerham of Liberty, MS.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at North Greenwood Baptist Church. Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Ben Hair, David Pentecost, Raymond Gillon, David Gillon, Roger Austin, and Reggie Daves. Honorary Pallbearer will be Dr. Terry McMillin. Interment will be held at 2:00 PM in Magnolia Gardens Cemetery in Paynes, MS. Military honors will be performed by American Legion Post #29.
