Services for Ida Warren Randle will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Greenwood, MS.
Mrs. Randle, age 79, died on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Golden Age Nursing Home.
She was born on June 11, 1937 in Inverness, MS to Robert and Louise Wood Warren and lived in Greenwood most of her life. She retired from the Greenwood Public Schools after 30 years of service. Mrs. Randle was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she was an active member of the choir. Ida was known for her hand made Santa Clauses. She loved working in her yard and growing daylilies. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Peyton Randle Sr.; son, William Peyton Randle Jr.; granddaughter, Elizabeth Randle and a son in law, Donald E. Aldridge.
She is survived by a daughter, Louanne R. Aldridge of Greenwood, MS; two sisters Jane W. Shoaf of Marietta, GA, and Amy W. Hooper of Greenwood, MS; three grandchildren, Katie Thompson, Sarah Williams, and Rachelle Pope and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church in Greenwood. Rev. Brad Hodges will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Lee Woodard, Rozelle Hodges, Smitty Randle, Danny Harden, Fred Hooper, Shannon Storms, Scott Acy, and Pookie Yeoman. Honorary Pallbearers will be the employees of Greenwood Utilities Henderson Station. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Inverness, MS.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff of the Blue Wing at Golden Age Nursing Home.
