Perkinston, MS; Mrs. Imogene M. Stubbs, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 5, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS, surrounded by her family. Services are 2 P.M. Monday Feb. 10 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood with interment in Itta Bena Cemetery. Rev. Neal Tapp will officiate. Visitation is Monday from 1-2 at the funeral home.

She was a native of Itta Bena, MS and resided in Perkinston. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church of McHenry, MS. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and led a very active life. She enjoyed church activities, baking, hand work and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a special encourager to everyone she met and had a gentle, Christian spirit. Her years as a homemaker were very special to her and her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Herbert R. Stubbs, parents John G. Mangum and Betty White Mangum, sister Marie Mangum Hodges Bennett and a brother Jimmy Dale Mangum.

She is survived by her daughter Beverly Stubbs Cooke of Perkinston, MS, her son, Alan Stubbs and his wife Leigh Rawlinson Stubbs of Bartlett, TN, grandchildren, Karen Burgess of Gulfport, MS and Ivey Stubbs and Gibson Stubbs of Bartlett, TN.

Pallbearers are Bernard Wiggins, Johnny Stubbs, Jim Mangum, Roger Alford, Wayne Poe, Riley Poe, Larry Bennett, Dwayne Wiggins and David Bradshaw. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Poe and Johnny Glen Hodges.

Memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church in McHenry, MS or the charity of donor's choice.
