Iva Nell Taylor McDaniel , 88, of Greenwood, MS, died Monday, October 11, 2021 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.  Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home with visitation 9:30 a.m. until service time. Rev. Lanny Haley will officiate the services. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Mrs. McDaniel was born December 8, 1932 in Sturgis, MS, to Thurston Howard Hunt and Vara White Hunt. She was a member of Christ Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school through the years at Christ Baptist Church, Calvary Baptist Church, Valley Hill Baptist Church, and Immanuel Baptist Church for a combined total of 65 years. She was a bookkeeper for Farmers Supply for over 45 years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherrye Taylor, husbands, William Lawler Taylor and Wallace Lee McDaniel, and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Apple of Nashville, TN; son, William Randy Taylor of Carrollton, MS; step-sons, James McDaniel of Greenwood, MS, and Jason McDaniel of Greenwood, MS; step-daughter, Janet Flanagan of Greenwood, MS; brothers, Thomas Howard Hunt of Foley, MS, and Lester Hunt of Grenada, MS; sister, Elizabeth Hunt Culp of Corinth, MS; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and her devoted caregiver, Joan Washup.

Pallbearers will be James McDaniel, Jason McDaniel, Wil Taylor, Steven Hunt, Jim Matthews, and J.T. Hurst.
