James Glenn "Fireball" Brooks, Jr.

May 28, 1971 - June 21, 2020

Services for James Glenn "Fireball" Brooks, Jr. will be held Thursday, June 25, 2020 2:00 PM at St. John's United Methodist Church in Greenwood, MS.

Mr. Brooks, age 49, died on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at UAB Medical Center in Birmingham, AL.

He was born on May 28, 1971 in Clarksdale, MS, and resided in Greenwood the past 23 years. He worked at Heartland Catfish for 15 years and was a plant supervisor at Milwaukee Tool the past year. He was an active member of St. John's United Methodist Church, and was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and farm. Glenn never met a stranger and was loved by everyone. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Olin Brooks; paternal grandmother, Mavis Brooks Rowe; maternal grandfather, Murl Hamond; and maternal grandmother, Adlene Murphee.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Felicia Brooks of Greenwood, MS; son, Zachary Brooks of Greenwood, MS; daughter, Anna-Grace Brooks of Greenwood, MS; father, James Glenn Brooks, Sr. of Diamondhead, MS; mother, Shirley Brooks of Danbury, TX; brother, Brent Brooks of Flowood, MS; two sisters, Trisha Williamson of Danbury, TX, and Kappy Avant of Danbury, TX.

Rev. Scott Wright and Rev. Billy Ray Stonestreet will officiate the services. Memorials may be made to St. John's United Methodist Church, 1001 Grand Blvd, Greenwood, MS 38930.
