Services for James Henry McCabe, III will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 2:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.

Mr. McCabe, age 75, died on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at his residence surrounded by family.

He was born on December 10, 1942 in Greenwood, MS, to the late James Henry and Mable Lipe McCabe, Jr. He retired from Co-op Tire after 26 years of service. Henry was an avid Civil War historian, re-enactor, and collector, loved to hunt and fish, and was past president of Cottonlandia Museum. He was a member of North Greenwood Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Becky Jones McCabe of Greenwood, MS; daughter, Missy McCabe Hames and husband Jason of Carrollton, MS; son, James "Bubba" Henry McCabe IV and wife Katie of Natchez, MS; granddaughter, Alex Williamson of Greenwood, MS; sister, Mary Parker McCabe Wilson of Clinton, MS; and nephew, Robbie Wilson of Greenwood, MS.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Dr. Jim Phillips will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Justin Brunson, Will Freeman, Jimmy Fred Weaver, Larry McCluney, Matt Hodges, and Warren Robinson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles McCurdy, Russell Brunson, and Jim Lipe. Interment will follow to be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
