Jane Tanksley Swider, 92, of Greenwood, MS, died Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Golden Age Nursing Home.  Graveside services will be held on Friday August 16, 2024 11:00 AM in Odd Fellows East Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM Friday at Wilson and Knight Funeral Home.

She was Born on October 7, 1931 in Indianola to the late Marshall Tanksley and Leona Cotton Tanksley. She worked at Baldwin Piano and Greenwood Leflore Hospital. She loved working in the yard, collecting birdhouses, and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Swider; sister, Sue Tanksley Joiner; and a brother, Kinnie Tanksley.

She is survived by her three sons, David (Linda) Swider of Carrollton, MS, Walter (Judy) Swider of Greenwood, MS, and Frank (Rhonda C.) Swider of Abbeville, MS; brothers, ML Tanksley of Greenwood, MS, and Thomas Tanksley of Greenwood, MS; sister, Eula Alderman of Greenwood, MS; eight grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild.

Memorial may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital
