Janice Ruth Watson , 64 of Carrollton died Monday, April 28, 2014 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2014, at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in North Carrollton. Rev. Fletcher Moorman will officiate.

Mrs. Watson was a teacher at J.Z. George Middle School in North Carrollton. She was very dedicated to her students and her fellow staff members. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband David Watson, Sr, by her parents, Thomas Minga and Mae Minga, a sister, Shirley Thomas, and a brother, Thomas W. Minga, SR all of Indianola, MS.

She was survived by her son David Watson, Jr. of Greenwood, daughter Lisa Watson of Carrolton, and grandson David Watson III of Greenwood, and a niece and several nephews.
