Jimmie Bryant Shaw, 80, of Carrollton died Saturday, September 10, 2016 at his residence. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. prior to services. Rev. Fletcher Moorman will officiate at the services.
Mr. Shaw was born November 5, 1935, to Jim Daniel Shaw and Hazel Marie Crawford in Carroll County, MS. He was a member of North Carrollton Baptist Church and he had previously been a member of First Baptist Church in Itta Bena and Cruger Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon. He retired from the State Fire Marshall's Office as an LCS Inspector. He worked for many years at Scott Petroleum where he was vice-president of the Tchula and Pickens office. He served as a Boy Scout leader for the Tchula post and was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Billy Daniel Shaw, and sister, Martha Marie Brown.
Mr. Shaw is survived by his wife, Martha Corley Shaw of Carrollton; children, Dr. Jimmie Bryant Shaw, Jr. of Houston, TX, Loretta Shaw Langdon and husband Dirk of Smithfield, NC, Gia Gregory of Wilkesboro, NC, Dr. Francis Xavier Amato and wife Gena Amason Amato of Boone, NC, Stephanie Morris of Charleston, SC, Michelle Livingston and husband Matt of Greenwood, MS; sister Sandra Holly of Coila, MS, and brothers Aubrey Shaw of Carrollton, MS, and Johnny Shaw of Carrollton, MS. And a host of nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by grandchildren, Chase Wylie, Gray Brower, Justin Morris, Nathan Morris, Dirk Langdon, Jr., Shelby Browning, Laila Browning, Madelaine Amato, Abigail Amato, and Lillian Amato.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the former members of Tchula Boy Scout Troop 70.
