Services for Joe Terrell Tenhet Sr will be held Sunday August 02, 2015 2:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, MS.

Mr. Tenhet, age 83 died on Friday July 31, 2015 at his Residence of Cancer

He was born on August 10, 1931 in Darling, MS to Terrell and Nellie Waggnor Tenhet and resided in Winona, Yazoo City, Memphis, and moved to Greenwood in 2008. He retired from a management position with Mississippi Valley Gas after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Itta Bena Baptist Church and attended the Greenwood Primitive Baptist Church in Greenwood. He was an outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish.

He is survived by his Wife, Mary Elizabeth Kelly Tenhet of Greenwood, MS, two Daughters, Terrye Layne Tenhet of Yazoo City, MS, Paula Conner (Mike) Sudduth, two Sons, Joe Terrell Tenhet Jr of Memphis, TN, and Tommy Cain Tenhet of New York, NY, and a Granddaughter, Peyton Mann.

Visitation will be held on Sunday August 02, 2015 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. Rev Phillip Green will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Mike Sudduth, Rob Grantham, Earl McMinn, Steve Daves, Keith Conner, Paul Lyon, and Matthew Smith. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Smith, William Raby, Curtis Jolly, Kimble Kelly, Talmadge Kelly, and Phil Kelly. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
