John T. "Billy" Acy, 88, of Greenwood, Mississippi, died Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital – North Mississippi.

Services will be Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Mount Olive Baptist Church with visitation starting at 11 AM followed by the funeral at 12 PM. The church is located at 68 CR 158, Coila, Mississippi 38923.

Mr. Acy was born October 10, 1936, to Grady and Stella Acy. He was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. He was a Marine, serving proudly during the years of 1957 through 1961. Mr. Acy worked for the Greenwood Leflore hospital for 27 years. He enjoyed farming, telling stories and spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Stella Acy; brothers, Bobby Acy, Joe Acy, and Larry Acy, and sister, Dolores Acy Tackett.

He is survived by his wife, Bobbie Acy of Greenwood, Mississippi; his brother, Jerry (Joyce) Acy of Madison, Mississippi; daughter, Angela Edwards of Oxford, Mississippi; son, Jason (Jana) Acy of Nashville, Tennessee; and five grandchildren, Dodd Jones, John Abbott Jones, Jacob Acy, Aly Acy, and Cayton Edwards.

Pallbearers will be Dodd Jones, John Abbott Jones, Jacob Acy, Colton Acy, Cayton Edwards and Adam Robinson.
