John Dennon McNeal

August 8, 1936 - February 15, 2022

Services for John Dennon McNeal were held Wednesday, February 16, 2022 2:00 PM graveside in McNutt Cemetery in Schlater, MS with Rev. Gary Crowell officiating. A memorial service will also be held at a later date.

Mr. McNeal, age 85, died on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Greenwood.

He was born on August 8, 1936 in Vaiden, MS, to the late John Henry and Winnie Lea Thomas McNeal and lived in Schlater most of his life. He attended school at Blackmont School in Vaiden. He was the retired farm manager of New Hope Farms and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and attended Schlater Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Roma Dean McNeal.

He is survived by his son, Donnie Ray McNeal of Schlater, MS.

Pallbearers were Russell Robertson, Thomas Jennings, David Jennings, Mike Ellis, Greg Carr and John Bush.

Memorial may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church or Schlater Baptist Church.
