Katherine "Kitty" Elizabeth Hamrick Jackson

Katherine "Kitty" Jackson passed away peacefully at the age of 64, at her residence on March 13, 2022. A private family service was held Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Greenwood, MS. Rev. Dr. Scott Wright officiated the service.

She was born to the late Lee Flowers Hamrick, Jr and Katherine Doster Hamrick on February 21, 1958 in Greenwood, MS. She married Barry Jackson in 1990, and their home was in Madison, MS.

She was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and aunt to many.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Martin; and three brothers, Lee Flowers "Sonny" Hamrick III, Henry Ward Hamrick and John William "Bubba" Hamrick.

She is survived by her husband, Barry Jackson, and daughter, Natalie Jackson Thomas (Scott), both of Madison, MS; step children, Barry Jackson, Jr (Kelsey) and Anne Jackson Maradik (Rich), both of Nashville, TN, and Matthew Jackson of Breaux Bridge, LA; grandchildren, Hunter Thomas, of Madison, MS, Will Jackson, Luke Jackson, Bo Maradik, Jackson Maradik and Madeline Maradik, all of Nashville, TN, and Laura Leigh Jackson, of Starkville, MS; nephews, Robert Charles "Rob" Hamrick of Braxton, MS, Henry Ward "Chip" Hamrick, Jr of Brandon, MS, and Lee Flowers Hamrick,  IV, and niece, Katie Hamrick, both of Greenwood, MS; one sister in law, Sylvia Acy Hamrick of Greenwood, MS; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
